BPP-Tech has just passed the half way point of an Innovate UK project to develop a method to derive scientifically rational COVID-19 infection risk measures. The work will enable owners and facility managers in healthcare, performing arts, hospitality, retail, office, transport and leisure sectors to make informed decisions on prevention measures, operating procedures and occupation densities. The project uses advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and statistical analysis techniques to quantify the risks of infection transmission between individuals in specific venues with confined environments.
